There is a Age limit or criteria in schools of Jamia Millia Islamia. Age limit can be minimum or maximum and it effect the admission process. If you fail in this criteria then your admission will be cancelled. The age limit of various Jamia courses are given below.
Nursery Class
Age limit for students applying in Nursery should be between 3 years to 4 years as on
31st March of the current admission year.
- Minimum Age: 3 years
- Maximum Age: 4 Years
Prep (S/F)
Age limit for students applying in Nursery should be between 4 years to 6 years as on 31st March of the current admission year. (Min. 4 years & 6 years Max. Age)
- Minimum Age: 4 years
- Maximum Age: 6 Years
1st Class
Age limit for students applying in Nursery should be between 5 years to 7 years as on 31st March of the current admission year. (Min. 5 years & Max. 7 years Age)
- Minimum Age: 5 years
- Maximum Age: 7 Years
6th Class
For admission to class VIth, the Birth Certificate issued by the previous school will be valid for admission.
- Minimum Age: No limit
- Maximum Age: No limit
- But Maximum Gap Allowed after Vth Class: 3 Years
9th Class
For admission to class IXth, the Birth Certificate issued by the previous school will be valid for admission.
- Minimum Age: No limit
- Maximum Age: No limit
- But Maximum Gap Allowed after VIIIth Class: 3 Years

The date of Birth as mentioned in the certificate of class X issued by the Concerned Board of Examination will be valid for admission.
- Minimum Age: No limit
- Maximum Age: No limit
- But Maximum Gap Allowed after Xth Class: 3 Years
Important: If gap is more than 3 years, then your admission will be cancelled!
