New Courses in Jamia Millia Islamia in Year 2021 – 22

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) today launched e-Prospectus for the academic session 2021-22. The prospectus containing information about admission to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, B.Tech., B.Arch., Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma courses.

The university is launching 8 new courses and 4 new departments from the coming academic session.

M.A. (Mass Media Hindi)

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA grade from a recognized University/Institution

M.Sc. Environmental Science & Management (Regular & Self financed)

Eligibility: (i)B. Sc. in Environmental Studies/ Environmental Science/ Biosciences/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics/Geography/ Geology with at least 55 % marks or equivalent grade in qualifying examination.
OR
(ii) B.Tech/B.E. in any discipline of engineering/B. Arch with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in qualifying examination.

Master of Design (M.Des.) [Regular & Self Financed]

Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture 10+2+4 years (minimum four year Bachelor’s course)
OR
BFA (4 Year professional program with entry after 10+2)

MBA (Healthcare and Hospital Management)

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or core CGPA 5 on a 10-point scale from a recognized institution.
Selection Procedure:
On the basis of score secured in the entrance test conducted by JMI and fulfilling other minimum eligibility, candidates shall be called for Group Discussion/Personnel Interview.
The Total Merit will have the following components:
a) Written Test: 170 Marks (objective type questions, MCQs, comprising Health, Environmental Awareness, Reasoning and Data Analysis, Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Quantitative and Numerical Ability.
b) Group Discussion / Personal Interview/Aptitude Assessment: 30 Marks.
c) Admission to Foreign/ NRI candidates would be governed by JMI’ rules in vogue.

P.G. Diploma in English-Hindi Translation (Self-Financed)

Eligibility: Graduates from any recognized university (in 10+2+3 method) who are appearing for the final year of graduation degree can also apply but it is mandatory to submit the result of graduation at the time of admission, Otherwise such candidates will not be considered eligible.
Note: – The candidate serving in an institution must submit the original copy of the No Objection Certificate from the Head/ In-charge/ Director of his/her organization along with the application form.

PG Diploma in Translation Studies (Self Finance)

Eligibility: (i)Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate.
OR
(ii) Certificate in Translation Proficiency from any recognized University and Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary or Equivalent School certificate with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of best 5-papers.

B.A. (Hons.) French & Francophone Studies

Eligibility: 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate.

B.A. (Hons.) Spanish & Latin American Studies

Eligibility: 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate.
