Jamia Millia Islamia University has postponed its all Undergraduates, Postgraduates and School Entrance tests due to corona virus (Covid-19) in India.
The exam-postponement saga continues
The JMI 2020 entrance exam was originally scheduled to be conducted on April-May, but has since then been postponed multiple times owing to COVID-19 pandemic.
Now the last date of online filling of admission forms for all university programs (UG/PG/Sschool/Ph.D/RCA) is 14th September 2020.
Reasons given for the postponement
- The prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation
- No proper guidelines of UGC
- No test center is available due to JEE & NEET examination
- Or continuous changing UGC guidelines
- Health Concerns

Some students are in favour of conducting the entrance examination while others are opposing it. Nowadays, a hashtag #PostponeJEE_NEETSept is trending on twitter on 1st position, after Supreme Court’s order to conduct entrance examination in September.
So, there are two opinion, many people are concern about their health while some getting frustrated over continuously changing last date and no proper date of entrance examination.
Some days ago, we posted a poll on Instagram page to see the opinion of students on conducting examination. And here is the result. 46% Jamia aspirants were against to conduct exam.

- Etc.
What is the last date of online forms?
Last date of Jamia University Online forms is 14th September 2020.

Why Upload Mark-sheet?
Jamia didn’t mention the reason why they are asking students to upload their mark-sheet. So just wait for the clarification by Jamia.

Which mark-sheet should be uploaded?
Final Year marks-sheet should be uploaded. In case of
- Undergraduate: 12th Marksheet
- Postgraduate: Final Semester Marksheet
- You can check the Name of the mark-sheet required in the application column, in coming days.
Merit Based Admission is possible or Not?
Since there is no mention of merit based admission in notice, so we can’t say anything about it. But you will be informed the Jamia’s decision very soon. Till then don’t loose hope and thing positive.
When Jamia Will Conduct Entrance?
This is the big question that students are asking. Jamia will conduct its all entrance exams after proper guidelines of UGC. Jamia may take entrance tests only after the approval of Govt. of India since its a central university. All possible steps will be taken so that no student will come in contact of deadliest Covid-19 virus.
Jamia will announced the new entrance dates and new prospectus probably after 14th September 2020. Jamia Millia may take entrance test probably in October 2020. But it may be late due continuously rise in Covid-19 cases in India and student protest, not to conduct any entrance in pandemic.
